Previously we’ve only made the black carbon fiber material from 3M’s DI-NOC series available for sale. Many people don’t know, but 3M actually makes the carbon fiber pattern in seven different colors:
- CA-418 – Silver
- CA-419 – White
- CA-420 – Graphite/Gunmetal
- CA-421 – Black
- CA-422 – Light pewter
- CA-423 – Dark pewter
- CA-424 – Brown
Today we’re announcing that all of the colors are available and for sale from us here at Carbon Fiber Film! Take a look at the lineup:

To get a better idea of how each colors looks, especially when reflecting light, watch the below video we made showing all of the colors:
Even though some of the colors actually cost us more money, we’re price matching all colors to our current pricing. You’ll find that no matter what color you purchase, it’s all the same price!
Please note that the CA-419, CA-419, and CA-422 (silver/white/light pewter) don’t have the same outdoor durability testing from 3M as the other darker colors, and don’t have the same expected durability of 4 years. With that in mind, we haven’t heard any issues from customers yet, and for applications like show cars or garaged cars where they won’t be under the sun too much we don’t expect many issues. In fact in a recent trip to London we saw this Porsche Cayenne outside of Harrod’s with white 3M carbon fiber DI-NOC…looked amazing!

It’s barely noticeable from further away, but up close you can see the carbon fiber pattern. I really love that subtle look.
To order any of the new colors, simply click the buy now button and you’ll be forward over to our parent site at Carbon Fiber Gear. From there, simply choose the size and color you need. We are still offering 4″x8″ samples of all colors for just $8 shipped if you want to get an idea how it looks in person.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact us or reply in the comments.

Hi there, looking to buy some carbon fiber film for some accents for an AUDI A6 2006,
I purchased the carbon fiber original center console (OEM), and want to buy some film to match the rest of the items, I have a picture of the item can I e mail so you can see what you recommend ? or do you have any samples?
Need an e mail to attach the picture.
Please advice…Thanks.
You just need to measure out how much material you need and order it up. You can buy samples right from this site for just $8 shipped.
Would you be able to make a carbon/kevlar colour scheme. Would be great for the back of my racing bucket seats interior trim or everything else. I think the look of the dry carbon/kevlar is unbeatable… Also can you purchase a whole roll?
Unfortunately a carbon/kevlar version is not available at this time. We do offer entire rolls for purchase, contact us directly for details.
aluminum hood for Mitsubishi Evolution how is this product with High Temperature?
3M doesn’t have official heat ratings, but we don’t expect any issues. Plenty of customers have installed on hoods, engine covers, and even motorcycle exhaust cans with no issues. As always we recommend using 3M Primer94 when installing.
Do you have the 3M™ DI-NOC™ CA-421 (black) carbon fiber vinyl in Wet finish? I have genuine CF parts on my car which are 2×2 weave in wet carbon and I don’t think this will match. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately 3M does not make a “wet” looking version of the vinyl. You could always try something like this:

Do you have any videos on how you get it so close to the edges? I would seriously like to get some of this for the interior of my F-150 but I don’t know how I would get close to all the little buttons because I know it can stretch but I don’t want to pay to have it done….any suggestions?
Without seeing it, it would be hard to say. Can you post a link to a pic?

ok ya this guy did it to his truck and so did the people in your gallery. I don’t know how they did it so good.
Milton,
The easiest way to do what he did is to actually remove the panel from the dash. See if there are guides on the forum to do this. Once that panel is out, there will simply be cutouts where the buttons are, you can tuck the di-noc onto the back of the panel that way there are no seams at all.
Hi I need 55X60 inches to cover a hood, all I see is 48…Is there a way to get that???
Unfortunately the only way would be splice two pieces together as 3M only makes the material in a 48″ width.
You guys need some red/black CF look. That would be awesome.
Hi !
Can I use a sticker/logo ( 3M film/vynil too) over the film 3M Carbon DI-NOC ?
Thanks guys !!
You should be able to, yes. In 3M’s specs it says it can adhere to itself.
I HAVE A SMALL SPORTS CAR BMW Z3 COUPE CAN YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA AS TO HOW MUCH FABRIC WOULD BE REQUIRED TO COVER THE CAR AND CAN YOU RECOMMEND SOMEWHERE TO HAVE IT APPLIED? DOES IT APPLY LIKE WINDOW TINT?
You would need to measure to know for sure..the whole car will likely be around 200 sq/ft. You can call around to shops that do vehicle wraps or even window tinting to see if they can install. It applies easier than tint as it goes on dry. Please read through our FAQ for full info.
I see from the video sample that there is
some asian sourced product…how do I know its not a 3m knockoff- or worse- just counterfeit
fake vinyl sheets. just want to make s u r e.
any documentation?
Buy from a reputable source
I can assure that we only sell genuine 3M product.
What is the average year duration for the CA-419 white, I would like to cover the hood of my Toyota Prado. Car is exposed to sun, rain, some salt water during beach trips, and sleep under roof mostly of the time.
White does not have an official rating unfortunately, if you have concerns about it I would opt for a darker color.
‘I see from the video sample that there is

any documentation?’
You mean made in China? Say so.
Because 3M Di-Noc is made in Japan (Asian sourced).
You can be assured that we only carry genuine 3M DI-NOC that we get directly from 3M in Japan. The Asian letters you see in the video are Japanese as those color samples were directly from 3M. You are right, DI-NOC is made and imported from Japan. We’ve been selling DI-NOC before most people have ever heard of it, I doubt there was any knock-offs back then.
I order a sheet of DI-NOC from a different website, and I just wanted to know if I received a knock-off. The back of the DI-NOC is covered in a clear sheet and not a 3M sheet with the white. Did I get ripped off or does it come with different backing over the adhesive?
We’ve only seen the white with grid and 3M logos on the back, if you have something else it sounds like a knock-off.
i have a yamaha r6 and im wanting to fully cover all the fairings. could you tell me about how much it would take? i dont want to order too much and waste my money, but i also dont want to come up short and have to wait for more to be shipped.
You would need to measure to know for sure. If I had to guesstimate a 36×48 or 48×48 piece should do it…but again, measure to be sure.
I got a quick question, I got a Honda CBR and am looking at having some wheel decals done. My decal guy has a cf wet looking vinyl but he suggested your product over his. I liked his cuz it looked wet, however would I be ok using an automotive grade clear coat over your product?? Thank you
This will answer your question http://www.carbonfiberfilm.com/blog/experimenting-by-clear-coating-di-noc/
i am 18 years old, i have just done a car wrapping course, amd i am looking to open my own company that specialises in carbon wrapping…i am not looking to wrap whole cars just yet, just roofs, bonnets, wheels, spoilers and interior.. How much film will i need?
Hi there, I have a Logitech G700 mouse and I was looking to having the top part covered with your CA-419 white. What would you recommend for sheet size and how would I go about applying it? The top part is plastic.
Here is a picture of the top: http://www.instablogsimages.com/images/2010/08/05/logitech-g700_65XPC_22974.jpg
Thanks in advance!
You will need to measure out the panels you want to wrap to know how much film is needed.
Harrison – For a mouse you may be able to get away with the sample size being big enough. If not, the 1 sq/ft piece should be more than enough.
Perhaps this is a stupid question but at the rick of looking dumb I’ll ask anyways . I have factory leather seats and am curious to know if I could upholster my seats with this ?
No, unfortunately it will not work well with your seats.
Am I correct to believe (based on how I google searched) that this has a “dry carbon” look to it? I do not like the high shi e plastic look and the matte finish to dry carbon is extremely appealing. If this does not have that look is there anything you suggest for your product to attain that look?
You are correct, this has a dry carbon look.
What is the thickness of the DI-NOC? Would it hold up being used as a paint protection film on the front of a car or would it tear and look worse than a rock chip? With the texture of the product is it difficult to clean bugs off? Thanks
It is 8.5 mils thick….which is pretty thick for a vinyl. It should hold up pretty well, and regular soap/water is fine for cleaning bugs off, which you’ll want to do as often as possible so it doesn’t sit.
I HAVE A BMW M5 WITH A REAL CARBON FIBER HOOD THAT IS CLEAR COATED. CAN I GET THE 3D EFFECT OF THE CLEAR COAT WITH THE WRAP? HOW HARD IS IT TO REMOVE THE WRAP AT THE END OF ITS LIFE?
THANKS
DENNIS MILLETT
Dennis,
I would highly recommend reading through our FAQ as it answers these questions and others:
http://www.carbonfiberfilm.com/faq/
have paint issues with my 1993 honda civic and this looks like a cost effective option. How difficult is it to remove if you wanted to change the look later?
How well does this stick on a wooden surface?
Please see our FAQ which answers your question about removal: http://www.carbonfiberfilm.com/faq/
It depends on the wood. MDF for example will work great. You’ll want the surface to be as non-porous (smooth) as possible…which may require putting some sort of finish on it. Always test prior, getting a sample piece to test with is highly recommended.
i want to know what kind of the carbon fiber sizes if i want to put it for my ford mustang GT 5.0 2012 wing.
Regards..
You would need to measure your wing in order to know the size. Likely something like the 36″x48″ will be around enough.
