We’ve been waiting to see it, and finally a customer has wrapped an entire car with 3M’s carbon fiber DI-NOC vinyl. Vince took his Lexus IS350 and gave it the complete treatment:
Vince ended up using about 240 sq/ft of vinyl to wrap the entire car. He thought the hardest part was doing the rear bumper, and his main advice is to just take your time.
You can see all of the pictures in our gallery.

The IS looks Great!! Love the the CF vinyl….I might just have to try this on my Jeep
did you have to splice any pieces? if you did howd it look? the 48 inches isnt wide enuff to do my hood. thanks.
Thinkin bout doin that to my evo then clear coating it to make it look a lil more real
any pointers?
Yea I have the same question.. 48 inches isn’t wide enough to do my hood.. what do you do? I’m not splicing it and risking bubbles and not matching up..
Unfortunately the only thing you can do is splice it…
How much CF vinyl was purchased for this project? I am seriously considering this for my IS 250.
@Garry – We do mention it in the article, but it was about 240 sq/ft of material that was used for this project. If you’d like to order, please give us a call.
I am looking to wrap my 2008 Infiniti G35 sedan in carbon white. How much sqft would i need for this job?
As any car, you would need to measure all of the panels you want covered and figure out how much material is needed. For reference, the IS 350 used 240 sq/ft, so it will likely be somewhere around that range.
Omg!to each his own.great job all round, would wrap more than 1/4 of the total surface area of my car
