Subaru STI Interior Updated With Carbon Fiber Vinyl

One of our customers, David, used the 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber vinyl to wrap some of the accents inside the interior of his Subari STI.  He wrapped the center console, the shift knob, and the air conditioning vents surround:\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHe also wrapped a couple of the pieces in his engine compartment:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nDavid was surprised how the material was so thick, but once heat is added it becomes very flexible and easy work with.  Good job with the install David!  You can check out more pics in our gallery.\r\n\r\n

Carbon Fiber Wrap In The Snow: 2006 Yamaha Nytro ER Snowmobile

While it probably wouldn’t be the first thing you would guess that DI-NOC would be installed on, one of our customers decided to put it on his 2006 Yamaha Nytro ER snowmobile.\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\nYou can see how it looked like before installation, because the DI-NOC gives off a matte look, it will help keep his snowmobile looking new.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJeff initially came to us with a few concerns about installation.  3M DI-NOC has no problems holding up in cold weather, though the optimal temperature when installing is between 60-100 degrees.  Luckily the snowmobile is stored indoors, and this wasn’t a problem.  We also highly recommend using 3M Primer94 to better bond the material and keep the edges from peeling.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJeff thought the material was great, it had a nice texture, and so far had no problem holding up to the elements.  It was his first time ever working with vinyl, so there was a bit of a learning curve.  The complete install took about 3 hours with another person helping.  He recommends having somebody help you out, and to use a lot of heat which makes the material a lot easier to apply smoothly (he used a hair dryer).\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe hardest parts working around all of the tight spots making it look perfect, while the visor was the easiest section.  You’ll need patience if you want it perfect!\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nGreat job Jeff!  For more picture examples, check out our gallery.

Bentley Continental GT With 3M Carbon Fiber DI-NOC Interior Trim

JS Design Factory/ProMax Motorsports out of Alhambra, CA have recently completed installing our 3M carbon fiber DI-NOC vinyl on the interior trim of a Bentley Continental GT.  While I would start to consider using real carbon fiber, especially on a $100k+ vehicle, sometimes that’s just not realistic.  That’s when 3M’s DI-NOC offers a great alternative.\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe customer was extremely happy with the end result, and we’ll be sure to see many more installs coming from these guys.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTo see more pics, check out our gallery.

\r\n\r\nHere you can see it before it was installed back on the car:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTaso thought the material was very easy to use, he did a great job with the install, the silver and black really offset each other nicely.  He also plans on doing the rear diffuser as well.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n

Modified Mazda Miata Gets Some DI-NOC

One of our customers sent in a couple pictures of his highly modified Mazda Miata.  He used the 3M carbon fiber DI-NOC material to cover the edge of his trunk to help go with the red/carbon fiber theme:\r\n\r\n

Richard Uses Carbon Fiber 3M DI-NOC On His Volvo S60 R Keyfob

Richard, one of our customers sent us in pictures of his Volvo S60 R keyfob that he covered with the 3M DI-NOC.  This is a great example of creative usage, and what just using a small piece can do!  We asked what Richard thought of the material:\r\n

Material was fantastic. The minute I took it out of the envelope my first impression wasn’t at all what I had expected. The textural feel and its reflective property makes it look like the real thing. It cuts very easy with a fresh X-acto knife and what you saw in those pictures was my first attempt. Came out great!\r\n\r\nI will be ordering another sheet in an attempt to wrap the spaceball (shifter surround).

\r\nHere are a few pictures from our gallery:\r\n\r\n

White Porsche Cayman Gets The DI-NOC Treatment

We happened to come across this gorgeous white Porsche Cayman that had a few things wrapped in 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber vinyl.  Check out the final product:\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\nWe can see that the roof and rear spoiler were wrapped, and if you look at the rest of the pics you’ll see the front lip was done as well.  It looks very classy, we love how the white and carbon look offset each other.  Now he needs some black wheels!\r\n
